Petting Farm Activity – Closed for the season
Lionel’s Farm is happy to offer a safe and fun outdoor activity that helps prevent the spread of COVID-19. As per Provincial Government Guidelines we can now offer a Petting Farm Package.
With recent changes to Ontario COVID-19 rules, our Petting Farm Package only allows a maximum number people to participate at one time in the petting farm area. On July 28, going into Phase 3, our Petting Farm Package will allow us to add additional groups.
Package Includes:
- Petting Farm access to all animals
- Your group must not exceed 5 people (Adults or Children)
Keep Your Visit Safe:
- No outside food is allowed which includes snacks for people, or food for any of the animals at the farm.
- We will be wearing masks.
- Visitors must wash or sanitize their hands upon arrival, and again before they leave the farm.
- Visitors are recommended to wear a face covering during their time at the farm.
The Petting Farm Package costs $28.25.
The price includes up to 5 people in your group, adults and children. If there are more than 5 people in your group, you can place a second reservation for the same time slot. Children under 1 year of age are free and are not counted as part of your group
The Petting Farm Packages are 40 minutes in length, Tuesday to Sunday, 10am-4pm. These must be PRE-REGISTERED and PRE-PAID. Times will be booked on a first-come, first-served basis. We can accommodate the activity in light rain or shine. Lionel’s Farm may cancel due to high winds, heavy rain and lightning, at that point we will refund your purchase and you will be allowed to choose a new date and time (based on availability) that works for you. Otherwise dress for the weather.
The only way to book your spot is to complete and pay using the online Activity Registration form on this page (see below). At this time there will be no bookings made by telephone, or social media.
You will receive a confirmation email with your reserved date and time. You will also receive an email receipt with confirmation of your payment. Rescheduling fees apply.
Safety Is Our Primary Concern
The health and safety of our guests, visitors and communities is our top priority. We will make every effort possible to keep our customers, our staff and our family safe by following the guidelines set by health professionals at the Government of Canada and Ontario Ministry of Health.
Here are some of the steps we will take to make sure we are all safe:
- Stay home when sick, travel only when necessary
- Reducing contact with others by following the guidance for self-monitoring, self-isolating, or isolating
- Practicing physical distancing and proper hygiene
- Learn about face coverings , how to use if necessary
Thank you for your continued support and we wish you all good health and strength. Stay safe!

Portion Size:
- You may bring 1(one) small head of lettuce per 4 people.
1 head of lettuce..
We receive many visitors each day at our petting farm. Most people enjoy feeding the animals and the animals do like the food you bring. However with so many visitors bringing so much food, it is important for animal health and safety to limit the portion sizes. Please keep your food quantity on the small side. It’s better for the animals if you run out of food. Consider that 100 people visit each day, the animals would over eat which would put their health at risk.
Our animal food policy is designed to keep the animals safe. At our discretion, we reserve the right to amend our policy and accept or reject food quantities and types on a case by case basis.
